Little Brown Jug Brass Band is a quirky, joyful, exuberant brass band which revels in providing a fun and unique perspective on party tunes and who take pride in ensuring our audiences have a fantastic time! “We focus on enjoying the best gifts music has provided us – camaraderie, light-heartedness, connection, and laughter,” says Founder and Band Leader Jevon Hills.  This party band’s approach has certainly made them fan favourites as they consistently appeal to multi-generational and diverse audiences.

What you may not know is that this values-based band has an unspoken mission of giving back to the community.  “Giving back to the community is a huge joy,” beams trombonist Malcolm McKenzie.  “There’s nothing like it.”

“We recognize the importance of arts education and appreciate the positive impact it has had in each of our lives,” Jevon adds, “which is why every year since its inception, LBJB has dedicated volunteer time to support other arts educators and programs.  This year, we are thrilled to raise funds supporting scholarship programs for Cornerstone Music Café. These scholarships would empower children through music who otherwise might not have access to such life-changing artistic programs!”

The possibility of raising funds for Scholarship Programs for Cornerstone Music Café excited LBJB enough to offer two holiday concerts with Special Guest Ashley Ghostkeeper, a Metis-Cree country singer songwriter and some of Cornerstone’s student performers.  The first will be a more intimate concert in Cornerstone’s new performance venue, and the second will be a blow out bash at the Ironwood Stage and Grill!

Festivities will include an online silent auction.
