Sydney Lafond’s trumpet playing for LBJB exudes the sincerity and kindness she brings to everything she does. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Integrated Studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2020, and has since completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University. Sydney works with clients who have developmental disabilities, and her compassionate approach carries through both her professional and musical life.

Having played with large ensembles throughout university including the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra, she enjoys playing with a more intimate and fun party band; and LBJB benefits from her kindness, work ethic and steadfast musicianship.
